Project introduction

Building Studio is a software that enables designers to quickly generate principled building designs. It adopts generative design as foundation, and the output of the design will be a digital twin like no other. In the early stage it will be used to validate designs for new construction or retrofits, conduct environment analysis and real-time simulation. After construction will be a useful tool for facility managers to have a living digital twin copy of their building.

My contribution

I worked with the product owner, 1 UX/UI designer, 1 product manager and five software engineers to develop the product. I mainly focused on:
• Site mode UIUX design. Including geo-location mapping, 3d model styling, environment generating, landscaping and terrain building and solar / shading analysis.
• Head-up-display UI design
• Carousal style view picker UI design (patent)
